Dr. Kinder designed the UPside of Down syndrome awareness products to allow parents to brag about their amazing children who happen to have an extra chromosome. These products help to dispel the myths surrounding Down syndrome and open minds towards acceptance and understanding. Dr. Kinder also created educational products and Thrival Guides to maximize the development of children with Down syndrome, making it easy for parents, grandparents, therapists, and child educators to give these babies every opportunity possible.

"It is possible for a child with Down sydrome to succeed in their education and in a career later in life," explains Dr. Julia Kinder. "However, it is crucial to start teaching your baby as soon as possible, as 95% of the brain develops between birth and age 5. I designed these products to teach Ella soon after she was born, and by two and a half she was reading over 150 words. And even more exciting is that Ella is now successfully completing her elementary education, at her own age level, in a regular classroom - without an aide."

Dr. Kinder's own daughter Ella, learned how to read by 19 months of age and stayed on track developmentally. (Other success stories are posted on Dr. Kinder's Blog.) These techniques work! Watch Ella reading as an infant in the following video.
